Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She currently works for ESPN as a reporter for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. Her first job at ESPN in 2016. Her mother is journalists on TV Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been bilingual since the age of nine years old. This is a beneficial skills that helped her get her first job as a production assistant at Univision in Miami that gave her an opportunity to work with producers of national programming including Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. They hired her as a reporter for the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate in the following year. The year 2009 saw her move into Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as journalist for the Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In addition to reporting on issues related to immigration and drug trafficking from both sides the Texas-Mexico border, she was a reporter for an evening newscast at 5. p.m. Spanish newscast a reporter and later anchor of anchoring the 9 p.m. newscast in English, and a reporter again for 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. She also filled in anchors on sports and weather. Later, she was anchor and reporter to Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was appointed to more duties. She reported on events like the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and NBA Postseason, as well as the finals of FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. Besides this, she produced Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she served as the anchor. The anchor was also the anchor for sports on Despierta America Deportes morning show. In the same as a reporter for the magazine program Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins was born and raised in Veracruz, Mexico. In the past, they relocated into Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November in 1985. She's more mature than her younger sister. The family relocated from Mexico to Miami in 1992 after they left Mexico. She divorced her parents shortly afterwards and in 1995 she tied the knot with an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. In the time of summer when she was together with her sister at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured a job. Antonietta was the senior of her high school, but she had a clear idea of what she wanted to do in her future career. She visited Mount Union University in order to see if it was a good fit for her. It turned out that she loved the school and they were offering the major she was looking for. After completing her high school studies, she decided to go to the University to pursue media studies. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the manager for WRMU 91.1 FM, of which she was a member. He encouraged her to be self-confident and his passion for journalism was deeply affecting her as did she. She was determined to fulfill his standards and never disappoint him.
